So I figured I'd get the ball rolling with a typical run down on some of the goings on this weekend and what-not...
On the food tip, I'd have to say my find of the week was definitely the food at the Cove on Broad. I knew it was a hip little joint with some good drinks and "Yaaaargh" pirate decor, but what i didn't know is tha they get their cook on! I had an artichoke pizza that about set me free it was so damn spicy....and i really don't know what the heat was from - all i saw was cheese, artichoke & bacon!? Anyway, I had the red cheeks and even the snot drip by the time I finished it - great stuff. My boy Tony had a Sicilian sandwich, but I do NOT do the anchovy thing...damn thats nasty. I had a coworker throw a cup of them in my fish tank one time thinking our oscar would eat them - I came in and see rotting fish carcass in the bottom of the tank and freaked out. Oily ass smelly ass nasty ass thangs....they're grody! But I digress - The Cove. Food. Good. There you go.
On the music tip, Lisa B & I caught 8 Ball and MJG at the Hi tone Saturday night. Interesting. I caught 3-6 at the failed Mofopaloozastock "event" last summer in Jackson TN and I now see a trend...ok, so the dj plays the loop from the song, the 2 rappers (Juicy & Paul, 8 Ball & MJG) each do a verse, they chant the hook, and on the last refrain they trail off with a "Yeeeeeeaaaaaah......" and thats the whole song. As the girl standing next to me in the thick ass crowd put it "These are the ringone versions!" In the end, they did about 25 songs in 30 minutes I think. Well, they did their 2 verses from Stay Fly twice each....anyways, it wasn't really truly a disappointment but I can't say it was a very exciting performance. Eclectic mix of folks, though. Yea.
New Intervention tomorrow about OCD! I am running in the Jr Achievement 5K Monday! Memphis football is set to suck it yet again! I am off to the beach with my awesome parents at the end of the week! This is what I do I sit on you!

You going to Dauphin again?
I will indeed be heading down with the folks in a week to Dauphin Island. Its a family tradition of sorts and I greatly enjoy relaxed one on one time with them. I will be back with some tales of golf, shrimp & maybe even some hurricane evacuation before all is said and done....stay tuned!
Maybe there was pepper- jack cheese on that pizza. That shit can be spicy.
I remember going down there with you and your parents when we were kids. I hope there's something there for you to go there to. Hopefully it will stay west and spare Alabama and Biloxi.
